Melinda Torokgyorgy

Overview

Melinda Torokgyorgy  always liked dancing, but seriously seriously training and learn relatively complex moves ballroom dancing she started at age 13, giving preference to the Latin American style. First partner was Simon Szucs. With whom, Melinda being juniors age, won the national championship among adults in all ten categories. That success opened bright prospects to enter the international arena.

Amateur

They become dancing in category Amateur. However, all plans were broken off the car crash. Temporarily, because the couple showed fighting spirit and, after recovering from injury, They continued to perform and improve their skills.

  In late 1998, in Ljubljana, Melinda meets Maurizio Vescovo, with whom she continued her competitive career. In January 1999, she moved to him in Dolo (Italy), where they are hard to prepare for responsible starts. Their first performance takes place on Melinda's home in the town of Keszthely on the Balaton Dance Competition - Amateur Latin. Best results in Amateur Division: gold medalist 2007 in German Open Championships, first place in The International Championships in England, 2007 Blackpool dance Festival first place. In May 2008 they go to professional sports.

Professional

   Best results in professional category become, finalist in British Open, 2009 WDC European Latin Championship finalist, top - 7 in UK Open Championships.

In June 2009, Melinda again changes the partner. His name is Andrej Skufca, and with him in the discharge of professionals they already represent Slovenia.

From the first steps in the international arena, this couple has a leading position in the world of Latin American dances. For the first time they performed together at a tournament in Brentwood / London, which took fifth place.  Their highest achievement - the first place in the Pro Latin in All England Championships in Grays. Fortunately for the dancers was in 2010 they took second place in the German Open Championships in Stuttgart, the United States Championship in Orlando and in a tournament in Irvine (USA). In May 2011, winning the FA Cup for the Latin American dances. They won WDC Austrian Open - World Masters Professional Latin in Austria. Sponsored by the couple at the World Championships in Innsbruck and the European Championships in Germany in 2011, is a famous company Exclusively by Swarovski.  The best achievements of 2015 they won Open WDC]| European Championships Professional [[International style latin|Latin in Moscow.

In 2015 on Blackpool Dance Festival Andrej Skufca and Melinda Torokgyorgy have retired from competition.
