Zdenek Fencak is a former professional ballroom dancer specialize in both styles Standard and Latin. Zdenek has represented two counties during his competitive career - Austria and Czech Republic. His best result is making a Final at the European Cup. Currently Zdenek is a Owner and Instructor at the "TK Starstep", as well as Czech Dance Sport Federation National Adjudicator and WDSF Licensed Adjudicator.

Overview

Zdenek Fencak met his partner and wife, Jana Fencak, in 1979 at a dance studio in his home town of Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.

In 1981, the couple performed at their first competition. Throughout their competitive career, they achieved performance of the highest class, "M-Class", in both dance divisions - Standard and Latin.

In 1988, Zdenek and Jana moved to Austria where they represented the country for many years and were members of the Austrian National Team in the Latin American and 10 Dance divisions.

In 1994, both Zdenek and Jana started their career as coaches. At the University of Vienna, they completed a coaching school in 1998 to become state-tested first class instructors for DanceSport. Since that year, they have managed to bring many of their students to achieve their dream titles, which include becoming National Champions in various age groups. Zdenek and Jana have traveled with their couples who have performed around the world.

Since 2007, Zdenek and Jana have been coaches in the Czech Republic where they have established their own dance school, the Starstep Dance Studio. They are the only qualified coaches with state coaching experience in Třebíč, Czech Republic.

World Renowned Adjudicator

Aside from being a National Adjudicator for the Czech Dance Sport Federation, Zdenek Fencak is a World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) "A" Licensed and "PD" Adjudicator. He has judged many WDSF events including but not limited to:
