Overview

Ozgur Firat Akel used to be a competitive ballroom dancer during his undergrad years in Middle East Technical University where he also got his B.S in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. He is one of the organizers of the biggest WDSF competitions in Turkey - "METU OPEN". He is also serving in organization committee of many WDSF competitions organized worldwide such as Adana Open, Izmir Open and Kyiv Open.

Aside of organizing, he worked as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in O&G sector. Currently, he is working as an R&D engineer in a private O&G company. He is currently a member of Executive Board Member in UCTEA Chamber of Petroleum Engineers since 2020
