Ton Greten is a former Professional Ballroom dancer, specializing in the International Style Latin and ShowDance. Ton is a five times World ShowDance Championship Finalist, Bronze Medalist at the World & European Cup and multiple time Finalist at the French Open, Dutch Open, German Open, Italian Open and U.S. Open in Professional Latin. Till 2017 he was licensed Adjudicator with WDSF. Currently Ton is one of the Best Choreographer in the World, many of his students are World ShowDance Champions in Standard, Latin and Formation Dance.

Overview

Ton Greten is a former Professional Dutch dancer, DanceSport Coach and Choreographer, Adjudicator and Organizer. He has danced with partner Mary-Ann Van Vliet from 1994 to 1998 in the Professional Division of DanceSport. Together, they were five times World ShowDance Championship South American Finalists, Bronze Medalist at the World & European Cup, Rising Star Champion at the German, French and US Open, "Benelux" Champion, "Diverse Male Grand Prix" Champion of the Netherlands and multiple time Finalist at the French Open, Dutch Open, German Open and Italian Open in Professional Latin. In 1994 and from 1996 to 1998, Ton and Mary-Ann were finalists of the freestyle at the World Championships of professionals in Latin American dances.

In April 2010, Ton Greten was a choreographer and coach of the former German Aachener TSC Blau-Silber DanceSport Club which merged with the TSC Schwarz-Gelb Aachen DanceSport Club in 2012.

Currently, Ton Greten is one of the best choreographers and Showdance creators in the World with many of his students titled as World Showdance Champions in Standard, Latin and Formation Dance. Ton is a speaker at dancing24.com and has released CDs with dance-typical training rhythms at Casa Musica. Also he is organizer of the Dutch Open Hip Hop Championships.

World Renowned Adjudicator

Besides being Nederlandse Algemene Danssport Bond National Adjudicator, from 2012 till 2017 Ton Greten has been certified World DanceSport Federation(WDSF) "A" Adjudicator. He has judged many WDSF events including but not limited to:

  • WDSF International Open in: Moscow (Russia), Hong Kong, Mikolajki (Poland)
  • WDSF World Open in: Moscow (Russia), Minsk (Belarus)
  • 2013 WDSF Grand Slam in: Hong Kong
  • 2013 WDSF World ShowDance Adult Latin Championship in: Beijing, People's Republic of China
  • 2013 WDSF World ShowDance Adult Standard Championship in: Beijing, People's Republic of China
