Sergey Belyaev is a former ballroom dancer specialize in International Style Latin, Standard and 10 Dance. He is a Danish National Finalist, Finland National Finalist and winner of many prestigious international dancesport competitions throughout the world. Sergey is a DanceSport coach of the highest qualification, Licensed World DanceSport Federation Adjudicator, Vice President and Sports Director of Finland's PD Dance Training Coaches and Judges Association, Owner and head coach of "Dance club Master", Dance Studio in Finland and Organizer of the most important competition event of the "Finnish Open" the WDSF Grand Slam Standard and Latin.

Overview

Sergey Belyaev is a world-class dancesport athlete and master of sports of international class, the winner of the numerous international dancesport cmpetitions. For his competitive career Sergey has represented three country: Russia, Finland and Denmark.

Together with his first partner Oksana Kuzmina, the couple represented Russia at many International Competitions including "Baltic Cup" in Tallinn, Estonia. They danced together from 2002-2003.

In 2003 Sergey started dancing with Iulia Osinova, couple also represented Russia. Best results was making the Final at The Tallinn International Open Cup in Youth Latin, winning the Amateur Latin at the "Universyada 2004" in St Petersburg, Russia and making the semi-final from the strong first round in IDSF Open Latin in St Petersburg, Russia.

In 2005 Sergey was dancing with Salla Kääriäinen, couple was representing Finland. For the one year of their partnership Sergey and Salla became Finish National 10 Dance Finalist, Finish National Latin Finalist, they represented Finland at the "International Championships", UK Open Championships, in England, "Tallinn International Open Cup" in Estonia and "Baltic Grand Prix" in Riga, Latvia.

From 2006-2008 Sergey Belyaev continues his competitive career together with Maarit Nuutinen. Couple was representing Finland at many prestigious competitions throughout the world. Best results was making the Final at the Finish National Championships in Amateur Latin, North European Latin Championships Finalist in the Riga, Latvia and winning "Tartu Cup 2006" Amateur Latin in the Tartu, Estonia.

In 2008 Sergey started dancing together with Anne Jänkälä. In February 2009 they became Vice Champions at the Finish National Amateur Latin Championships.

In 2010 Sergey Belyaev began dancing with Malene Meihlen and represented Denmark at the DanceSport competitions in the Sweden, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Austria, Latvia, France and Lithuania. For 2 years of successful partnership, couple have achieved IDSF Rising Star Open Latin Finals in Alassio (Italy) and Platja d'Aro (Spain), also Sergey and Malene have become Danish National Amateur Latin Championships Finalist.

Education

Specialist in the field of physical culture and sports, candidate of pedagogical sciences, DanceSport coach of the highest qualification (National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health named P. F. Lesgaft, Russia, St. Petersburg).

The author of the innovative methods of teaching DanceSport, several scientific works in the field of training dancers.

Teaching experience

Sergey Belyaev has more then 15 years of teaching experience. He is the leading Finnish teacher of DanceSport, who during his active teaching career has trained several national Champions in different age categories. His students perform successfully in the tournaments both at the national level and abroad. Among those there are the 3-time World Champions. Currently Sergey is the head coach of "Dance club Master" as well as a coach in leading dance schools in Europe and Asia, where he is invited to prepare leading dancers.

Adjudicator

The 31-year-old Sergey Belyaev, who holds and manages the "Dance Club Master" in Helsinki, has voted for the Management Board together with Italian Davide Cacciari, Polish Marek Chojnack and Russian Alexander Melnikov for 2017-2021. Slovenian Verena Sulek was elected WDSF PD Director for the upcoming season.

Sergey Belyaev, MSc Sports, has completed the highest international WDSF judging licenses, and in addition, he has also completed the WDSF Technical Examiner. He prepares couples both in Finland and abroad, among others. Russia, Estonia, Italy and Kazakhstan. He is Vice President and Sports Director of Finland's PD Dance Training Coaches and Judges Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Finnish Dance Sport Federation and is a member of the Standard and Latin Dance Division and Education Committee. In Finland, Belyaev is also known as the organizer of the most important competition event of the "Finnish Open" and the WDSF Grand Slam competition for dancesport.

The WDSF Professional Division was established in 2010 as International Professional DanceSport Council (IPDSC) and later the World DanceSport Federation Professional Division (WDSF PD). The PD Management Board is a division's management team. The Management Board's term of office is four years.
