Christiane Primeau is the co-owner of Centre de danse Primeau Poirier: Accueil Dance School located in Quebec, Canada. A former British Open Professional Latin Rising Star Champion and North American Amateur Standard, Latin and 10 Dance Champion, Christiane is also a World Class Adjudicator and lecturer.

Overview

Christiane Primeau is a former Professional Ballroom dancer specializing in International Style Latin and Standard. She was a North American Amateur Champion in Standard and Latin in 1978 as well as in 10 Dance. She was also the North American Professional Latin Champion in 1984.

Some of her other accomplishments include attaining the title of Canadian Professional Champion in Standard, Latin and 10 Dance, becoming a finalist of the World Championship, being a three-time finalist of the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival in England, as well as winning the British Open Professional Rising Star Latin Championship.

A New Beginnings

It was in September of 1985 that Christiane opened her dance school in the city of her childhood - the Centre de danse Primeau Poirier: Accueil. That same year, André Poirier, a world-class dancer at the time, became more than a friend. The couple than began their story together as life and business partners.

The passion for dance has passed from one generation to the next as Vanessa and Virginie, André and Christiane's two daughters, themselves became Canadian Women's Dance Champions. They are now very active in the running of the dance studio.

Today, Christiane also works as a choreographer and world-class lecturer, in addition to being a World Class Adjudicator.
