Amateur Champions
Amateur Latin World Championships under the auspices of the World DanceSport Federation, or its predecessors, the International Council of Amateur Dancers (ICAD) and the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF), have been contested since 1960. First to win the title were Frenchmen Paul and Lucienne Hillion.The only year without any champions getting crowned was 1963. Of the 57 Amateur Latin titles that were awarded since 1960, 15 went to Germany, 13 to Great Britain, 6 to Italy and 5 to Norway.
