Anna Trebunskaya is a Professional Ballroom Dancer known for her role on the TV Show "Dancing with the Stars". She is a trained, professional actress and TV personality as well as a certified licensed instructor and United States DanceSport adjudicator.

Overview

Anna Trebunskaya was born and raised in Chelyabinsk, Russia in a family of professional Ballroom Dancers, so the transition to the dance floor was a natural progression of her heritage. She began her journey as a dancer at the ripe young age of six, winning her first Ballroom Dance competition a year later.

When she was 17, Anna moved to the United States with her parents to further pursue her career as a professional, world class dancer. She won her first U.S. title in 1997, becoming the Amateur Standard Youth Champion.

In 2000, Anna became a Professional competitive dancer and instructor and shortly thereafter moved to California to partner with dancer Jonathan Roberts.

From 2001 to 2006, they achieved many high placements in prestigious competitions around the world. Anna was the 2004 USA Rising Star Latin Champion and was ranked 6th in the United States and 24th in the world. She also placed 2nd in the Blackpool Dance Festival Rising Star Latin Championship.

In 2006, Anna teamed with Pavlo Barsuk for two years, capturing 3rd place in the Professional Latin United States final, 2nd place in the Professional Rising Star Latin at the UK Open and 4th in the Blackpool Professional Rising Star Latin Championships.

To maintain her top level of performance and svelte figure, Anna not only spends many hours in the dance studio, but also works out using various strength and flexibility techniques such as pilates, yoga, gyrotonic, ballet, hiking and resistance work.

Anna currently lives in Los Angeles with her partner, actor/filmmaker, Nevin Millan, and their daughter Amalya Millan.

Anna made her Dancing With The Stars debut during Season 2, partnering with NFL legend, Jerry Rice, coming in as the runner-up. She was also partnered with:

Anna is a trained, professional actress, having studied and trained at the Meisner based Baron Brown Studio in Los Angeles, CA. She brings her unique brand and skill-set to the table as she delves into each character she portrays. A natural on stage and in front of the camera, her magnetic charm and charisma shine through in all genres including drama, comedy, action, thrillers, and more. Most recently, she appeared on HBO's acclaimed show, The Newsroom, in a co-star role portraying a Russian Airline Ticket Agent.

Over the past several years, Anna has brought her world class knowledge of dancing, contagious sense of humor, Russian sass, and joie de vivre to several on-air shows including Maria Menounos's popular After Buzz post-commentary web show for Dancing with the Stars, as well as the DWTS ABC All Access Show, live streaming online, during several episodes of Season 20. She originally started on After Buzz as a guest speaker and eventually joined as a co-host for seasons 16-19 during her DWTS hiatus. You can also catch her appearances on various television news, reality, and commentary shows.

In addition to her television appearances, Anna continues to perform in various live stage shows all over the country. You can see her headlining productions such as Ballroom with a Twist, Forever Tango, and more.
